General Questions

  • Rain policy?

Gtraceday.com events will run rain or shine unless hazardous weather is imminent or venue staff closes the track/facility.  If the track is closed due to weather and an event is cancelled before it begins, gtraceday.com will reschedule all participants to a new like event within one year based on availability.  Unfortunately, refunds will not be extended if an event is stopped prior to completion due to weather or any other unforeseen situation arises out of gtraceday.com’s control.

 

GT Race will run scheduled events rain or shine, unless there are heavy downpours or if Area 27 staff closes the track. If the track is deemed unsafe and the event is cancelled before it begins, we will reschedule participants within one year to a new date based on availability. Refunds will not be granted if a course cannot be completed due to weather or unforeseeable situations out of the control of GT Race.

 

  • Showing up late to your event?

Showing up late to your scheduled event is not recommended, however, life happens. and we understand.  When you do arrive, Gtraceday.com staff will check you in, get you dressed out and into your assigned car.  No refunds will be given for lost track time & no additional laps will be granted as make up.

 

If on the day of the event, you show up late, your right to participate in the driving events will be at the discretion of the lapping day event organizers. There will be no refund for missed track time.

 

 

  • On-Track Insurance

Vehicle On-Track insurance is required for all bookings. Insurance can be purchased directly with specialty Insurance provider or GT Race can source this for you. ICBC does not provide any kind of coverage on the racetrack.

GT Race sourced insurance policy:

On-Track insurance reduces the participant’s maximum out of pocket responsibility for Vehicle Damage to a maximum of a $3500 deductible. Above $3500, the participant is not liable. The insurance policy requires a $3500 damage deposit to be charged on participant's credit card. (Damage to the track facility is not covered and the participant is responsible for any charges by the facility)

 

  • Payment, rescheduling & cancellation Policy?

All events are required to be paid in full at time of booking.  Gtraceday.com accepts most major credits and debit cards.

 

A 30 day notice is required to reschedule your gtraceday.com event.  No exceptions.

 

A 30 day cancellation notice is required for a full refund.  Gtraceday.com will consider refund requests made less than 30 days only if we can schedule a new participant and fill the seat.  No exceptions.

 

 

All participants will be required to pay a full amount at time the of booking. Payments can made using major Visa card and Visa Debit.

GT Race will not reschedule your event if no prior notice is provided. We consider this to be a "no show" and your entire event fee will be forfeited. We are not responsible for personal or business conflicts, cancelled travel arrangements, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen changes in your plans that prevent you from attending your scheduled event. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason and a refund or alternate date will not be granted if you are a “no show”.

 

 

  • What happens if the staff determines I am not driving safely?

GT Race personnel, at their sole discretion, shall have the right to cancel a participant’s experience at any time during the event if the staff considers the person to be incapable or unwilling to operate the track car in accordance to GT Race instruction and policies. In this instance, there will be no refund whatsoever.

 

  • Are gift voucher available?

Yes, gift voucher are available for our Track Car Rental program. Please call to purchase. We will send you certificate to be redeem within 1 year (12 months) of purchase. Beyond 1 year, the voucher will retain its cash value and can be use towards any of our programs. The voucher with be coded for security. When you are ready to redeem, call our office with the code and name, we will then confirm a date and package.

 

 

Planning for your Track Day

  • Where am I going?

On the date of your booking we will meet you at the Race Track. Please see your booking confirmation to confirm which track location you are booked for.

  • What time should I arrive at the track?

Please arrive at the time of your booking or 5-10 min early.

 

  • How can I prepare for my track day.

1) Pack your driver’s license; 2) If you have booked our Mustang GT with the manual transmission. Please take some time to practice the week prior to your booking. It will help you get the most out of your experience with us. If you do not have previous experience driving a manual transmission, please give us a call and we will move your booking to one of our cars with an automatic transmission. Please allow us to give you the driving experience we are striving for and not a transmission experience. 3) Alcohol and drug are not permitted at the track and a 0.00% blood alcohol level is mandatory; 4) If you require eyeglasses for driving or for seeing distances, we recommend that you use them; 5) Running shoes or similar full foot covering shoes are required. High heels, sandals and open toe/top type shoes are not permitted; 6) During COVID-19 we have suspended the use of our racing suits. Please wear comfortable long pants and a long sleeve cotton top.

 

 

  • What is Parking like at the track?

Parking is free at the track. Please follow the signs to the GT Race parking area.

 

 

  • Can I bring spectators?

Yes, spectators are welcome at no cost. There are grandstands that are an excellent place to watch from.

 

  • Running late to your Booking?

The classroom session starts 15 min after your registration time. If you are late, we will do our best to fit you in. However, we cannot guarantee your spot. In efforts to do our best, we may request that you change your chosen car or move you to a later time slot. When in doubt show up at the track or you will be considered as a no show. A phone call, voice mails, texts or e-mails will not change this. During track events, our office is not attended.

 

  • Can a passenger ride with me?

No, the passenger seat is always occupied with a coaches. We do offer our Race Ride Experience if a guest would like to experience the track from the passenger seat.

 

  • Can I bring my dog to the track?

No, at GT Race we love your furry family members too. However, the racetrack is a dangerous place for them. Please for the safety and comfort of your pets, leave them at home.

 

 

What is your rain policy?

GT Race events run rain or shine. In the case of excessive rain causing the track to flood or which create a dangerous situation we may delay your track time or cancell the event in extreme cases. You will contacted if your event is cancelled.

 

 

Add-Ons

  • Can I buy Extra laps or upgrade my package?

Yes, please inquire during registration when you first arrive. However, this is dependent on existing bookings scheduled and if the extra time is available.

 

 

  • Can I get a video of my experience?

Yes, GT Race offers a 2 angle in-car video with telemetry recording of your experience. You can purchase yours for $50, at the time of booking online or at registration.

 

 

  • On-Track Damage Coverage

Participants are responsible for damages to the car during their driving experience. In efforts to reduce the risk to participants, GT Race offers the option to purchase Damage Coverage. This reduce the participant's liability in the event of an accident, which incurs actual damage to the Car. The Damage Coverage funds would go toward the cost of repairing the car to its equivalent condition prior to your use. Please note your regular car insurance (ICBC or other Insurer) does not cover you while on the racetrack. Basic Option - Provides up to $20,000 damage coverage, with a deductible of $5000 Premium Option - Provides up to $40,000 damage coverage, with a deductible of $4000

 

 

Gift Voucher FAQ

  • How do I buy a Gift Voucher?

Gift Voucher can be purchased online by selecting the “Gift Voucher” option at the top of the page and selecting the “BUY NOW” button on the following page.

 

  • What is the difference between Generic and Specific Gift Vouchers?

Generic: This is your most flexible option. The Giftee will pick their ideal car, date and time of their experience. The Gift Voucher value can be used towards any of our packages making it easy to add laps to your package or share the value over two separate packages and thebring a friend along. These are transferable between all tracks we visit.

Specific: The purchaser of the Gift Voucher will pick the specific car and track the Voucher will be for. This is not changeable later. The Giftee will only get to choose the date and time of their experience.

 

  • How do I redeem a Gift Voucher?

Gift Voucher can be redeemed online by selecting the “Gift Voucher” option at the top of the page and selecting the “REDEEM” button at the bottom of the following page.

 

 

How far in advance do I need to book?

 

Best to book early. This way you will have first choice of cars and time slots. We recommend booking a minimum of 4 weeks in advance of your ideal event date

 

 

  • When do your Gift Vouchers Expire?

Gift Voucher package types (e.g.: 3-Lap, 5-Lap, 7-Lap) are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. After 2 years the Gift Voucher converts to a credit equivalent to the dollar value originally paid
